Lupe Rodriguez

Lupe’s coaching philosophy stems from 15+ years of coaching high school teams.  His experience stems from being the head coach for the Varsity boys team to his current position as the head coach for varsity girls high school team.

Lupe believes in getting to know his players as athletes as well as human beings.  This is important in order to identify their strengths and areas of improvement.  The totality of bringing together a group of athletes, fitting all the pieces together in order to develop them as a team is a challenge he enjoys taking on and has done so successfully over the years. Helping athletes identify and use their strengths to strengthen the team as well as identifying their areas of improvement as it all comes together to be part the greater good of the team.  He believes in growth and development and is strongly adamant in his belief that everyone, no matter their skill or athletic ability can and will show progress with the proper work ethic, commitment and coaching.

Lupe has lived in Austin for 23 years.  He lives with his wife Deyalí and his 3 children Isabel (7), Joaquín (3) and Xávi (0).  When he is not on the pitch, (which is his happy place) he enjoys cooking made meals with his family as well as outdoor activities with his children.
